A law of life that means a lot to me is, “Success is a journey, not a destination”
It means that what matters is not necessarily where you are at the end, but what you accomplish while you are trying along the way. It means no matter what, as long as you try you can never fail.
cameras flashing, pretty ladies, walking out on the red carpet waving and smiling. This Glamours life is usually what society perceives as success.
” but what is success”
is it money? is it fame? or is it hard work?
Success is not determined by who you are, what you are or what you have. Its a journey, a movement of one place or another.
Once long time ago I remember my friend and i always point out random women walking down the street and commenting, on her clothes, personal appearance, and basically what she was wearing. If that women happened to wear a Gucci bag and hd a jaguar my friend would say she was a successful women because she had money. There was always this connection of success as having material things.
After all, its not only my friend who saw material wealth as success, often its us all, as human beings.
Another prime example would be Paris Hilton, a famous celebrity who had a easy life filled with short cuts and influence, often people refer that lifestyle as success.
However success is movement from starting from scratch with no short cuts and ending in improvement of one self and mistakes. Yet all her life Paris had the money, had the opportunities and now she is still in that same position. To say Paris hilton is successful is similar to saying ” I’m successful because I bought a car”
there is foolishness of that statement as with Paris Hilton
she is not a source of success because she started and ended as a human being int he same position as she is now. Her “success” does not qualify because she had it easy and in reality never acknowledges that.
